Sonic may have a deeper voice in Frontiers, but it’s actually from the same actor of prior games in the series Roger Craig Smith. He has been voicing the hedgehog for over a decade now since the days of Sonic Generations but Smith has also left his mark on the Assassin’s Creed series as Ezio. He additionally voiced Captain America in the popular Avengers Assemble animated show.
Fresh off voicing Tails in the successful Sonic The Hedgehog 2 movie, Coleen O’Shaughnessey is back as the adorable fox in Sonic Frontiers. She has also been behind the performances of Monica from Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Jazz Fenton in Danny Phantom, and Sora from the Digimon franchise.
Another friend of Sonic’s, Amy Rose, will be performed by Cindy Robinson. Like Smith and O’Shaughnessy, Robinson has also been voicing her character in the Sonic series for a long time. She has also been Dr. Atsuko Chiba in the anime movie Paprika and Detective Anaya in Mass Effect 2.
Sonic’s nemesis Dr. Eggman will also have a returning actor Mike Pollock empowering his iconic voice. He’s voiced the character ever since 2003; that’s almost two decades! While Dr Eggman is his most known role, he’s also had parts as the narrator of the Pokemon TV series, Jean-Louis Bonaparte in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and Mayor Len Blustergas in Kirby: Right Back At Ya.
Knuckles and Big the Cat are voiced by Dave B. Mitchell and Kyle Hebert respectively. Mitchell has acted as Geras in Mortal Kombat 11 and the Shocker in Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games.
