As if Amazon hasn’t already had enough of gamers’ money this Christmas season, the online retailer is pushing even harder to get the business of the PlayStation crowd looking for a deal.
Sony recently dropped the prices on a ton of games on the North American PlayStation Store, and Amazon has replied in kind. The retailer is offering a price-match on many PS4 games that include The Witcher 3, Beyond: Two Souls, Need for Speed, and more. However, there is a slight catch: the games you get from Amazon will be digital download codes, not retail disc copies. It’s not the end of the world if you intended on dipping into a few bargains on the PSN anyway, and it may actually prove useful for those who received Amazon gift cards as lazy Christmas presents this year.

All in all, it’s not a terrible thing at all. It’s always nice to see alternate routes when it comes to buying games, though we’d be remiss if we said we weren’t disappointed that the physical copies didn’t get a price reduction.
