Bored Ape Yacht Club, or shortly we know them as Bored Ape, is a non-fungible token collection on the Ethereum blockchain. Bored Ape Yacht Club now working on a “play-to-earn” NFT game and it’s expected to out in Q2 2022.
Every Bored Ape is unique and programmed to generate over 170 traits that could be possible, such as expression, headwear, clothes, and more. Every ape is dope however some are rarer than others. These apes are recorded in ERC-721 tokens stored on the Ethereum blockchain and are hosted on IPFS. Apes can be purchased for 0.08 ETH now lower price around 6 to 50 ETH.
For this upcoming game, Bored Ape Yacht Club collaborating with Hong Kong-based Animoca Brands to develop an NFT game also benefits from Yuga Labs’ oldest games.
What’s Bored Ape?
Bored Ape Yacht Club is a huge amount of collection for 10,000 different Bored Ape NFTs – that’s are also digital collectibles that reside within the Ethereum blockchain. The Bored Ape serves as a Yacht Club membership card and gives you access to benefits only available to members one of which is access to the bathroom which is a community-based graffiti board. Additional areas and perks will be unlocked by the community via the activation of the roadmap.
Now the whole team working on an NFT game with Animoca and Yuga Labs. Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu talked about this upcoming game and said: “NFTs have emerged as a store of culture. Bored Ape team also launched their ApeCoin on March 16th, 2022. ApeCoin is an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency that was designed to be a utility token and a tool for governance. There are one billion of them as of CoinMarketCap saying that around 28% are in circulation. The majority of the total amount of tokens will become a part of the market slowly over the next couple of years.
The game is being developed in partnership with nWayPlay which has developed several other “play-to-earn” games in the gaming sector.
Bored Ape Yacht Club also recently released their Roadmap 2.0, which hinted at a blockchain-based game in the near future and teased a variety of live events.
