Celesteela Pokemon GO Raid Guide: Pokemon To Bring

Magnezone in Pokemon GO

Celesteela is only weak to two types: Fire and Electric. As a result, it makes sense to bring a Heat Rotom to fight against it, since Heat Rotom is the only Electric/Fire-type Pokemon. Otherwise, players should aim to bring strong Fire- or Electric-types with powerful Charged and Fast Attacks that benefit from the same type attack bonus.

Examples of such Pokemon include Entei, which can carry both Fire Fang and Flamethrower in its moveset. Another potentially useful pick is Mega Ampharos, which can benefit from powerful STAB moves like Volt Switch and Zap Cannon.

On the defensive side, Magnezone makes a particularly good counter to Celesteela. In addition to resisting all of Celesteela’s STAB attacks, it also resists move like Body Slam and Smack Down. However, players should be aware that Celesteela can still threaten Magnezone with a super effective Bulldoze.

The official Pokemon website provided a full list of recommended party members to bring to a Celesteela Pokemon GO raid:

How To Catch Celesteela In Pokemon GO

Nanab and Razz Berries, which are helpful for catching Celesteela in a Pokemon GO raid

During its Pokemon GO raid, Celesteela will spend a good amount of time flying around. In order to avoid wasting Premier Balls, players should wait for moments when it is not moving to try to catch it. To assist this, players can use a Nanab Berry to make Celesteela’s movement cycles less erratic.

Meanwhile, both Razz Berries and Golden Razz Berries can help make Celesteela easier to catch overall. Ultimately, the goal for trainers is to pull off Excellent Throws by throwing Premier Balls when the target ring is at its smallest. Curveballs also make Celesteela easier to catch, although players should probably avoid going for difficult and technical throws while Celesteela is on the move.
