As you’ve probably already figured out, we’re going through a few design changes here at The Games Cabin. We’ve completely revamped the layout of the site to make it more appealing to long-time readers as well as newcomers. (Hi!)
It’s still very much a work-in-progress at the moment, but we thought it’d be a nice idea to get it out the door as soon as possible so that we can gather feedback from site users. So far we’ve had a few messages saying it looks good, but one common complaint is the logo, or lack of. We’ve been using the image at the top of the site for a few years now. It worked nicely with the old layout and it’d be easy enough to integrate it into the new colour scheme (this purple isn’t the final form).
However, we’re all about change now, so we’re not looking to drag something from the past into our new look. We’re looking for freshness. That’s where you come in!
We were going to go ahead and just hire some awesome graphic designer to make a fancy logo and what not, but we thought it’d be cool if one of our readers pitched in. That way the site is that little bit more personal for one person. You, the chosen one.
So instead of paying off some failed art student, we’re gonna give one of you lot some money. All you need to do is design a wicked logo for us to use, then send it via email to the Big Boss Chris at [email protected]. The winner will receive drumroll a 50 $/£/Euro Sign Amazon voucher for their troubles. Not bad, eh?
There are some rules, so please pay attention:
The logo must of your own design. We have ways of checking if a logo is simply taken from Google images. Don’t be naughty. Bob Ross is always watching you.
It has to be wicked! Words are fun, but they’re also a little boring. Inject some personality and life into it. Maybe incorporate a cabin. Get it?
Watermark the image you send to us. Please, this is important. Even if it’s just a big ol’ squiggly line done in paint, it prevents the unauthorised use of your creation and protects us from claims of theft. We ain’t no thieves, yo.
And that’s it. We’ll be keeping an eye on the emails, so give us a shout.
