Welcome to our 1000 run series: Hell Ancient Tunnels. The purpose of this series is to record the loot drops in 100 run increments until we reach 1000 total runs of popular farms. This specific one focuses on farming the Hell Ancient Tunnels for chances at Sets, Uniques, and High Runes. All items listed below are usually worth at least a Lem rune or higher. Let’s get right into it.
Why Hell Ancient Tunnels?
The Ancient Tunnels are one of the level 87 combat zones in D2R. Being a level 87, the unique and champion packs can drop any item in the game. Depending on your class, runs can take anywhere from 3 minutes to 10+.
How to get to the Ancient Tunnels
To find your way to the Ancient tunnels you must first make your way into Act II. Once you are in Act II, make your way into the Lost City via the waypoint. If you do not have the waypoint, travel through the Rocky Waste>Dry Hills>Far Oasis> and then into the Lost City. Once you reach the Lost City, search the broken building in the area for a trap door that opens into the Ancient Tunnels.
Notes on the Ancient Tunnels
The Ancient tunnels are full of Poison and lightning damage dealing mobs so it is recommended to have antidotes and a high lightning resistance.
