Listed below are the 10 classes and a short description about the stats and starting equipment each class begins with.

 Astrologer | The Astrologer is one of the starting classes in Elden Ring. The Astrologer starts out at level 6 and has a high Intelligence and Mind stat. The starting items for this class are an Astrologer’s Staff and Short Sword for weapons and a Scripture Wooden Shield. This class is great starter for a Spell caster Build. |
 Bandit | The Bandit is one of the starting classes in Elden Ring. The Bandit class starts at level 5 and has a high Dexterity and Arcane stat. It starts out with a Shortbow and Great Knife for weapons and a Buckler. This is a good starting class for those who want to make a Dexterity based build. |
 Confessor | The Confessor is one of the starting classes in Elden Ring. The Confessor starts at level 10 and has a high Faith stat. The starting equipment for the Confessor is a Broadsword and Finger Seal for weapons and a Blue Crest Heater Shield. The Confessor also starts out with the Urgent Heal and Assassin’s Approach Incantations. This class is a great starter for Faith type builds. |
 Hero | The Hero is one of the starting classes in Elden Ring. The Hero starts out at level 7 and has a higher Strength and Vigor stat. The starting equipment is a Battle Axe and a Large Leather Shield. This class is the perfect starter for a Strength based build. |
 Prisoner | The Prisoner is one of the starting classes in Elden Ring. The Prisoner starts out at level 9 with a higher Intelligence and Dexterity stat. The starting equipment is an Estoc and Glintstone Staff for weapons and a Rift Shield. The Prisoner also starts out with the Magic Glintblade Sorcery. This class is a good starter for a Dexterity and Intelligence based build. |
 Prophet | The Prophet is one of the starter classes in Elden Ring. The Prophet starts out at level 7 and has a high Faith and Mind stat. The starter equipment for the Prophet is a Short Spear and Finger Seal for weapons and a Rickety Shield. The Prophet also starts with the Heal and Catch Flame Incantations. This class is a perfect starter for an Incantations build. |
 Samurai | The Samurai is one of the starting classes in Elden Ring. The Samurai starts at Level 9 with a high Dexterity stat and a slightly higher Strength, Endurance, Mind and Vigor stat. The starting equipment for the Samurai is an Uchigatana and Long Bow for weapons and a Red Thorn Roundshield. This is a great starter class for someone who wants to make a 2 handed or Ranged Dexterity fighter. |
