What class should you pick in ESO?
We have three different ESO class tier lists below, each one based on a unique style of gameplay. The class you should pick in ESO depends on what kind of playstyle you want to go for and which classes are better at that role.
If you want a more DPS-oriented build (damage per second), some classes will be a stronger choice. If you want to be a healer, certain classes excel at that more than others.
You will also need to choose what kind of build you want to go for after selecting a class. Generally, you will be choosing between Stamina and Magicka, or Health if you want to be a tank in the game.
Magicka builds are more for DPS spell casters or ranged healers, while Stamina builds are for melee characters or ranged bow users.

The best class for a damage dealer depends on whether you want to go for Stamina or Magicka. Necromancers are better at Stamina DPS, whereas Sorcerers or Arcanists will excel at Magicka DPS.
Here are all the classes ranked in terms of how effective they are at DPS. These rankings are based on how these classes will work out for the average player. All classes can work out for players, but some may perform a bit better overall.

These rankings are based on how these classes will work out for the average player, and once again it’s worth noting that all classes can work out for any player.
