Earlier today Rockstar announced that GTA V would be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One this November with a PC release scheduled for January next year, quashing any and all rumours that the PC version was canned.
This got us and many others understandably excited. Why? Well, the PS4 and Xbox One re-release may be look all fancy and what not on the new console, but you wont be able to enjoy the game to its fullest potential until you play it on the PC, the reason being – mods.
The modding community is huge, you just have to type any game that’s available on PC into YouTube along with the word ‘mod’ and you’ll find thousands of videos of gamers enjoying multiple mods that expand and enhance the experience of the game. Of course, GTA V is a fantastic title as it stands, but the potential for the modding community is infinite.
So with that, here’s our most wanted GTA V mods. Please modding geniuses, make these happen!
1. Flight
Ever since early man first walked the Earth, we’ve wondered what it would be like to soar through the skies with nothing but the wind beneath us. Well that was early man, modern man just wants to fly in his video games dammit!
We’re not talking about motorised flight either, we want to soar like an eagle over Mount Chilliad and crash-land into the Ferris wheel on the pier. GTA V already gave us a taste of it with the cheats, but complete control over your flight speed, direct and more would be so much cooler.
2. Super Heroes!
Not that Michael, Trevor and Franklin weren’t heroic enough, they’re just a different type of hero. We’d love to see some great mods that put players in the capes of histories finest comic book characters. GTA IV on the PC brought us the Iron Man mod, which we loved by the way, but how about creating the entire Avengers team? Or the Justice League? Or both? Multiplayer could be pretty wicked if two teams fought one another as comics greatest super-hero squads.
