How to get the Magitek Armor mount in FFXIV
If you want to get your hands on one of the very first story mounts you can get in the game, there are a couple of things that you will need to do. This mount is given to you by completing “The Ultimate Weapon” in the main story, which is a level 50 quest. Before you can complete that quest though, you have to make your way through the slog that is The Praetorium. It’s a fairly long dungeon, lasting around 45 minutes. It isn’t difficult, but there are some iconic cutscenes to watch.
Not only do you get rewarded with a mount by the end of it all, but you also get rewarded with a vial of Fantasia! Make sure not to lose it, as you can only purchase these on the Mog Station otherwise.
How to get the Magitek Predator mount in FFXIV
In order to get the Magitek Predator mount, you need to make sure that you are level 70. Then, you need to complete the Main Scenario Quest ‘The Measure of His Reach’ which is the penultimate Stormblood quest. Then, you will be given the quest ‘Stormblood’ which will send you into a dungeon titled ‘Ala Mhigo’. The final boss of this dungeon, Zenos Yae Galvus has a chance to drop the mount, the Magitek Predator.
However, the drop chance for this dungeon is incredibly low, so it may be best to wait until you are level 90 so that you can run this dungeon unsynced and keep running it until the mount drops. It may be quicker to do it with others depending on your Job, but for the most part, you should be okay to run it at level 90 on your own.
