Moogle Treasure Trove 2023 is coming to Final Fantasy XIV! This special event is a recurring activity in the hit MMO Final Fantasy XIV, and this year’s first trove is right around the corner. What is this year’s Moogle Treasure Trove, and what can you earn from it?
Moogle Treasure Trove 2023: What is it?
This year’s first Moogle Treasure Trove was recently announced by Square Enix. It takes place on April 24th, and it’s a special event where players can take part in certain activities to gain rewards.
The Moogle Treasure Trove event will run from April 24th 2023 to the start of patch 6.4. This patch is expected to be released in May 2023. The event begins at 8am GMT.
This year’s theme for the event is the “Hunt for Mendacity”. Each treasure trove event has its own hunt, with the first event, the Hunt for Philosophy, taking place in May 2019.
The Moogle Treasure Trove will have you hunting for special items which you can exchange for unique rewards.
Moogle Treasure Trove 2023: What are the rewards?
Duties associated with this Moogle Treasure Trove will have a special Moogle icon next to them. Once you complete these activities, you’ll get special rewards called Irregular Tomestones of Mendacity.
For example, completing raids will give you a variety of Tomestones. Completing the Tower at Paradigm’s Beach raid will grant you seven Tomestones, while completing The Puppet’s Bunker will get you six.
Once you have these Tomestones, you can take them to an Itinerant Moogle and exchange them for rewards. 100 Tomestones will get you Porxie Earrings, but there are cheaper rewards including maps, whistles, chest pieces and cards.
