GameStop’s Retro Classic’s section has gone live over on the GameStop website. What is the Retro Classics? Well, clues in the name; it’s a collection of old games for old systems, most likely to be bought by old men looking to re-live the glory days of gaming.
It’s getting harder and harder to find older games that are still in working order (yes, there’s emulation, but that’s not entirely legal) so GameStop’s Retro Classics is actually not a bad idea.
However, the prices aren’t exactly cheap. Mario Party and Mario Party 2 will set you back a shocking $44.99 and MegaMan Legends 2 for the original PlayStation is priced at a shocking $69.99. Yes, that’s the same price as a AAA game today. Worst of all, it’s a pre-owned disc.
Not all prices are terrible, though, as Gran Turismo 2 is priced at $6.99 (though it may be cheaper via PSN as a PSOne Classic,) as is the classic Tekken 3.
