God of War III Remastered ‘M’ Rating Adds Blood & Gore to the Original Consumer Advice

Sony Santa Monica’s PS4 version of God of War III has been rated by the Australian board of classification.

God of War III Remastered will be releasing on the PS4 with updated visuals and smoother gameplay in general, though the latest ratings seem to indicate God of War III Remastered on PS4 may be a little more gory than the original PS3 release.

The original rating for the PS3 version advises consumers of strong violence, nudity and sexual references whereas the God of War III Remastered carries the same consumer warnings with the addition of blood and gore.

God of War III wasn’t particularly gory on the PS3, more a stylised realism, but it’s entirely possible that the re-release may cause some effects to look a lot harsher on-screen.

Either way, it’s still rated M for mature, so not enough has changed to cause the rating to change dramatically.

God of War III Remastered releases this June 14th and is available for pre-order for those who really, really want to see Kratos run around semi-naked again.
