Flight Simulator and FAR: Changing Tides available now
Microsoft has announced the next batch of games to be hitting the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, and it’s looking to be an excellent month, especially for Marvel fans.
Straight out of the gate, FAR: Changing Tides is available as a brand new release and can be played on Console, Cloud, and PC.
Flight Simulator, which I reviewed last year, is already part of the service, but as of this week, you can now fly to your heart’s content without having to eat up a large chunk of your hard drive space as the game can now be launched from the Cloud. There’s a joke there somewhere and if I didn’t have dinner in the oven, I’d take the time to make it.
Tomorrow, March 3rd, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII jumps on the service as a PC and Console release. Sadly, you won’t be pulling Lightning from the Cloud with this one. Hey, I did one!
March 10th is the date Xbox Game Pass subscribers will want to conveniently call in sick to work. Why? Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy joins as a Console, PC, and Cloud release, along with Kentucky Route Zero and Young Souls, both of which will also be available via all avenues.
And if you’re more a sim player, Lawn Mowing Simulator joins for Xbox One. The game is already available on Game Pass for PC, Cloud, and Xbox Series X|S, but March 10th marks the Xbox One version joining the service. It’s pretty good if weird sim games are your bag, as I noted in my review earlier this year.
And while the Xbox Game Pass Gods giveth, they also taketh away. The following games will be waving adios to the service from March 15th, so if you haven’t played them yet but want to, you’ve got just under two weeks to get them finished.
- Nier: Automata (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Phogs! (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Torchlight III (Cloud, Console, and PC) (Review)
- The Surge 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
