Halls Of Torment characters tier list
This Halls of Torment tier list ranks players based on their practical use and the utility of their starting weapon and skills. For example, some characters start with weapons that have short range but deal serious damage. Some begin with weapons with a very long range, and some have good AoE, and so on.
S Tier characters in Halls of Torment
The characters in the S Tier list are best when it comes to surviving the thirty minutes mark while dealing with the regular, elite, and boss-type enemies.
Archer
The Archer is by far the best playable character in Halls of Torment, thanks to her starting Bow that fires an arrow piercing through every enemy that falls in her direction.

While she has her shortcomings when it comes to defence, the Archer overcomes that with her movement speed and beast of a starting weapon that becomes better with each upgrade.
Sorceress
The Sorceress, aka the Sorc, is all about dealing significant damage while applying elemental status effects that further damage the enemies. Her lightning ability, which can chain through multiple enemies in an area, makes her a great crowd control, with the high base damage acting as a cherry on top.
A Tier characters in Halls of Torment
The characters in the A Tier list are the most balanced and are easy to use.
Swordsman
The Swordman is the starting character in Halls of Torment though that does not make him weak. He is one of the most balanced characters in the game, which comes with good offence and defence.
It improves over time as you unlock new abilities and upgrade his starting weapon, the Sword, to increase its effective area, attack speed, and damage.
Shieldmaiden
The Shieldmaiden is the best defensive character in the entirety of Halls of Torment as she bolsters a very high defence stat which scales better than any other character in the game.
When it comes to offensive, she has her starting weapon, the Mace, which deals serious damage in a small AoE. Her Greatshield releases attacks at intervals that knock back enemies in a crescent area, dealing low damage but creating enough room to ensure you don’t get overwhelmed by the high number of enemies.
B Tier characters in Halls of Torment
The characters in the B Tier list fall short in comparison to others due to either slow attack speed, gimmick starting weapon with low damage, slow movement speed, and other such shortcomings.
Cleric
The Cleric is a high-damage dealer in Halls of Torment, who, once upgraded, becomes a great playable character specialized in dealing with elite enemies and bosses in the game.
In many of the tier lists for the game, you will find Cleric in either S or A tier, but to us, the Cleric didn’t work out due to the long interval between his regular attacks. Moreover, while he is a great damage dealer, crown control is not his forte, making surviving the halls challenging.
Exterminator
The Exterminator’s starting weapon is just awful. He fires flames that can inflict burn status effects on multiple enemies, but the low damage and the actual time it takes to kill even the regular foes are absurd compared to other playable characters.

Moreover, even in the late game with many upgrades, you will always find the damage insufficient to deal with the elite mobs or bosses, which becomes the primary reason for putting him in a low tier.
C Tier characters in Halls of Torment
The character in the C Tier has no practical use and is very hard to handle, especially in the late game.
Warlock
The Warlock is a decent character at first glance thanks to his summons. However, as time flows and more elite mobs start to spawn, the Warlock’s slow healing and the inability for crowd control becomes a significant disadvantage.
