Halo 5: Guardians is Half Price in Celebration of Halo World Championships

Halo 5: Guardians did a great job at convincing this author that the Xbox One was a wise purchase, review through here, but it also did a great job at continuing the Halo saga.

343 Industries came under a lot of scrutiny when it took over the reigns from original developer, Bungie, but it’s done a great job and most Halo fans are more than happy with the outcome.

The first-person shooter is at the centre of Microsoft’s plans to bring Xbox into the world of eSports and it’s been pushing the agenda hard with Halo and this year’s Halo World Championships. To celebrate the ongoing tournament, Halo 5: Guardians has been reduced by 50% on the Xbox One games store, however, you’ll need Xbox Live Gold to take advantage of the discount. Normally priced at $59.99, this new promo that’s running will see the game be available for just $30. Not a bad bargain by any account. Still, you do need Xbox Live Gold to take advantage of it…

For the sake of comparison, that’s $8.99 cheaper than Amazon.com, though the online retail giant will surely lower the price to match the Xbox One store’s price, as it normally does.
