Halo Infinite Battle Royale Mode Leak

There have been rumors about a Halo Infinite battle royale mode. However, leaks suggest that 343 Industries may be bringing this highly-popular mode to the game.

A tweet from HaloHub showed a screenshot that it said looked like a sequel to Halo 5’s Warzone Mode. However, it had a battle royale twist to its rules. The HaloHub community-run page followed up with a second and third tweet, saying that they had more screenshots of the modes options but don’t believe the mode will be released soon.

However, it’s an not the only time that we’ve been hearing rumors of a battle royale-style of game coming into Halo Infinite. Prior to the launch of the game in the Xbox Series X/S and PC in the year before, data miners found clues to a possible battle royale feature in the game’s source code. It’s very possible that Infinite’s version of the Halo 5’s Warzone could be the result of the of that evidence.

We are not surprised

Although 343 Industries has not confirmed the news, it isn’t surprising that they are considering adding a battle royale feature to their game. Despite the game being well-received at the time, the player count for Halo Infinite is down quite a bit since its initial launch. A new mode of battle royale will give momentum to a title that has struggled to add new content.

Since its epic launch bringing in over 20 million players last January, Halo Infinite lost a large number of active players.

Halo Infinite’s PC player count has dropped dramatically since launch. It now stands at approximately 30,000 concurrent players per day on Steam. Battle Royale Mode has the potential to bring new and old players back to the game.
