How many Hearts can you obtain in Tears of the Kingdom?
You can get up to 40 Heart Containers in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In order to get that many Heart Containers, it does mean that you will have to complete quite a few Shrines in order to get them.
Every Temple Boss and Phantom Ganon Boss provides 6 Heart Containers, which makes it significantly easier if you have beaten them. This means that you won’t need to complete as many Shrines to fill up the rest of them.
In total, to get the full amount of Heart Containers, you will need to complete 124 Shrines to get the other 31 remaining Heart Containers, as you need four Blessings in order to get one Heart Container.
This means that you can then use the other Shrines available to focus on filling up your Stamina Wheel, as there are a grand total of 152 Shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for you to find dotted around Hyrule.
Equally, there are a couple of quests that will give you a Stamina Upgrade as well as a Health Upgrade. Namely, the Trapped Under the Water of the Great Plateau quest.
By completing this, you will get your hands on a Health upgrade, and for some extra Stamina, you can complete A Call From the Depths.
