Well, hello there, handsome
Sony has released the first official images of the upcoming PlayStation VR2 headset (PSVR2) and it looks phenomenal, yet familiar.
For those who already have a PSVR, the design will seem familiar, especially with the halo headband that made the original headset such a comfy option.
The new PSVR 2 headset is actually going to be lighter than the original, despite having more tech crammed inside its little chassis. Speaking of which, there’s a really cool feature that every VR player should get excited about, and other VR headset manufacturers should take note of: an internal vent.
While the original PSVR headset was undoubtedly a comfortable experience for most, something we can all agree on is the tendency for the lenses to fog up was annoying, forcing players to break the immersion to rub away the fog.
The new PSVR 2 headset has an internal vent that allows ventilation, thereby avoiding foggy lenses and forcing players to stick a rag inside their headset while playing.
Sadly, there’s still no news on when the PSVR 2 will release, nor has pricing been announced, though you can expect Sony to spill more beans as the months go by and we get closer to the headset’s release.
