The Harry Potter and Wizarding World locations are full of iconic locations, but few are more steeped in mystique (and a little horror) than Azkaban – the prison home to the most dangerous witches and wizards in history.

Hogwarts Legacy may take place hundreds of years before our bespectacled hero is even born, but many of the franchise’s locations are beautifully recreated in the action RPG. Here’s how to get to Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy.

How To Get To Azkaban In Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy mainly revolves around the titular castle and school, but there are excursions to be found that take players to Hogsmeade, the Forbidden Forest, and more.

One such destination is Azkaban, but unlike other areas in Hogwarts Legacy, it’s not somewhere you can simply hop on a broom or use Floo powder to get to.

To visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need to reach the quest Prisoner of Love. For this, you’ll need to be level 5. Sadly for many players, though, this quest is exclusive to Hufflepuff players.

Unfortunately for those in Gryffindor, Slytherin, or Ravenclaw house, the quest will become unavailable to you. Taking you about this part of the story via a different mission, this means only those in Huffepuff house can go to Azkaban.

The questline will task players to speak to a painting of former Minister for Magic (and Cedric’s ancestor) Eldritch Diggory, before heading off to find ex-Auror Helen Thistlewood — Diggory’s descendant.

Thistlewood is working on an unsolved case that led to an innocent girl, Anne, being imprisoned at Azkaban, and apparates the player to within the prison’s walls.

The quest itself is short, but certainly leaves an impression. We’d definitely recommend taking up the quest as soon as it becomes available.
