If you want to customise your horse in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom you’ll need to hit up some of the stables across Hyrule.
Unfortunately, it’s not quite as easy as rocking up on horseback and demanding your special little lad gets flowers in his hair. Here’s how to unlock and customise your horse in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
How to customize your horse’s mane in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
To unlock mane customisation in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to earn at least 16 Pony Points. Redeeming this many Points will unlock the Mane Restyling Service at any stable in Hyrule.
You’ve got a bunch of new mane styles you can pick from, including my personal favourite, the flowers. Everyone, meet my good girl horse, Special.
The good news is you can switch it up as many times and as often as you want, so don’t feel like you need to reign it in.

The grind doesn’t stop at 16 points and mane customisation! Getting bored of crafting wacky vehicles to traverse Hyrule? You can dress up your horse in fancy new saddles and bridles. You can also unlock other useful horse accessories, but you’ll need to collect more Pony Points.
To change your gear, simply speak to any stablemaster at the counter and select ‘customise my horse’. They will give you the option to pick which horse you want to make pretty.
