The Skull Shaker in Resident Evil 4 remake is an impressive shotgun. Each shot is powerful, but the reload process is fast. Here’s how to get the Skull Shaker in the Resident Evil 4 remake. But warning, you might not like the answer.
- Once you finish the RE4 remake, you can play Resident Evil 5 and 6 on current platforms.
Where to get the Skull Shaker in Resident Evil 4 remake

That’s cut to the chase. You cannot get the Skull Shaker in the game itself. You will need to purchase it. This particular weapon is available through the Deluxe Edition, but thankfully it isn’t exclusive. The Skull Shaker for the remake is $1.99 (around £2) to purchase separately. However, you can get all of the extra content like the costumes, Sentinel 9 pistol, and additional treasure to find in the game, for $19.99/£15.99.
- We wish Resident Evil Re:Verse was better when it released.
How to equip the Skull Shaker

To use the weapon, head to any save room typewriter. Interact with it. Now, select “Storage.” If you have the DLC installed (you’ll need to quit the game to the main menu to activate it), you’ll see the Skull Shaker in the storage menu on the left. If you see it there, you just simply need to bring it to your metal suitcase. You may need to take out your current shotgun and exchange it for the Skull Shaker.
The Skull Shaker in Resident Evil 4 remake is one of the better weapons in the game annoyingly enough. It’s quick and flexible to hold. The game itself says it has “excellent manoeuvrability and handling.” One issue to keep in mind, however, is that it doesn’t hold as much ammo. The infinite ammo cheat in Resident Evil 4 remake would help with that, however. There’s also the Red9 Handgun to consider.
Despite the cost of this gun, at least it feels impactful, unlike anything from Resident Evil 6. Perhaps the Skull Shaker will be available in the Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries mode.
