We all long for the days of being able to play games with our friends on the couch. Most games have been directed solely towards online gameplay instead, and unfortunately, that is the case with Need For Speed Unbound. There is no split screen mode within Need For Speed Unbound.

Instead, there is an online mode that is completely separate from the single-player story of Need For Speed Unbound. You can invite friends to your party or find a game through matchmaking. The cool thing is that you can free roam around the city at your own pace alongside your friends. Another aspect of the online mode that’s helpful is that you get notifications of when a race has initiated, letting you join a random player in seconds. This is far quicker than the single-player mode as there’s limited fast travel in this section of the game.

Best Racing Games With Splitscreen

The closest arcade racing experience you’ll get to Need For Speed Unbound which is split screen is Dirt 5. You can play with up to four players on the same screen, and the racing is intense. The game focuses on off-road racing, and it’s exhilarating to jump those ramps and weather through a storm. It’s an impressive racing game that shouldn’t be skipped, regardless of its split screen functionality. Dirt Rally, however, doesn’t support the feature.

Forza Motorsport 7 also supports split screen with two players if you’re looking for more of a simulation experience. The graphics are pristine in this game, and there’s a large variety of licensed cars to choose from. The next entry simply called Forza Motorsport will hopefully support split screen as well on the Xbox Series X/S and PC. Forza Motorsport 6 has splitscreen as well.
