Many from the gaming community have been apprehensive about Sonic Frontiers. The world feels empty from the gameplay shown so far, and some have been worried about the quality of the game. Will there be a Sonic Frontiers demo to help potential customers make up their minds? Find out below.
- Will Sonic Frontiers disappoint fans? We dissected what we’ve seen so far from the game.
Is A Sonic Frontiers Demo Available?
In an interview with French outlet ActuGaming (via Tails’ Channel), Sonic Frontiers producer Takashi Iizuka said that there won’t be a demo for the game. This is despite there being a demo available at conventions like EGX and the Tokyo Game Show.
This means that there will be no way to try out Sonic Frontiers when it releases on November 8. It’s unfortunate due to the mediocre response from the gaming community, especially within the Sonic fanbase. With the open-zone format, it will be quite alien to what the fanbase has expected from past titles.
Hopefully, in the future, we can see a free trial for Sonic Frontiers for PlayStation Plus Premium, which lets you try games like Horizon: Forbidden West and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Nintendo Switch Online has also given us limited-time trials for Splatoon 2 and OBAKEIDORO!

What Are The Sonic Frontiers Pre-Order Bonuses?
If you decide to take the leap of faith and buy Sonic Frontiers, there are a few pre-order bonuses to keep an eye on. GameStop and Best Buy are both offering their own Steelbooks with some stunning artwork from the game. Most retailers are also offering the Adventurer’s Treasure Box, which comes with skill points, Red Seeds of Power, and Blue Seeds of Defense, which will help Sonic get stronger right off the bat. The UK retailer GAME is also offering the same steelbook as GameStop in the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, if you sign up for the Sonic Frontiers newsletter, you can get the blue blur’s shoes from Sonic Adventure 2 within the game.
