Pikmin 4 amiibo support would be well appreciated by fans, given the toy range’s doubling appeal of being visually appealing whilst providing unique gameplay opportunities in other Nintendo games. Can you use Pikmin 4 amiibo?
Unfortunately, there are no plans for Pikmin 4 amiibo support. As of the time of writing, the game’s publisher and developer, Nintendo hasn’t announced any features regarding new amiibos for the game.
Nevertheless, Pikmin 4 amiibo would still be cool to see. For example, they could drop random items or buffs to your character in the game to make exploration and combat easier for the player.
On the other hand, Pikmin 4 amiibo support could be added further down the line – given the franchise has been part of the toys-to-life range of toys already. A previous example of Pikmin amiibo support was in the 3DS game, Hey! Pikmin.
Specifically, When you tapped the Pikmin Collection toy onto the NFC field, it spawned more of these creatures as reinforcements.
There’s also the Captain Olimar figure from the Super Smash Bros. line that could be implemented in Pikmin 4 in the future.

There are a few Nintendo Switch games that support amiibo, however. Nintendo’s bombastic hit The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom lets you use amiibo to gain items and new cosmetics rewards. For example, the Link amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening gives you a cute chibi mask from the recent remake.
