What is Rapport in Lost Ark?

Rapport <ALT+N> is a reputation system to gain the affection of specific NPCs in Lost Ark. Rewards are given to players who reach Each NPC that you can gain Rapport with provides rewards at each Rapport Level. The main reasons to progress Rapport with an NPC is for Gold and Skill Point Potions. Rapport experience gained and tasks completed are shared across all characters on your Roster on a server.

Completing repeatable daily tasks for a Rapport NPC increases a players Rapport with that NPC. There are 5 ways to increase the Rapport Level with an NPC:

1. Completing Rapport Quests
2. Conversing in Dialogue
3. Showing an Emotion
4. Playing a Song on your Instrument, and
5. Giving them Gifts

Many NPCs require completing a prerequisite quest before Rapport can be gained with them. Some NPCs also require obtaining a specific threshold of a particular Virtue Stat as well (Wisdom, Courage, Charisma, Kindness). Also progressing up a Rapport Level with an NPC may have a Virtue Stat requirement as well. Many Rapport Rewards are in fact Virtue Stat Potions, so if you don’t meet the prerequisite stat, look for an NPC that rewards the one you are looking for.

How to increase Rapport

There are three Daily Rapport Tasks are:

1. Give Gift (Limit of 99 Rapport Gifts to given daily)
2. Play Instrument (Limit of 5 Rapport Song Actions daily [+1 with Crystalline Aura])
3. Show Emotes (Limit of 5 Rapport Emote Actions daily [+1 with Crystalline Aura])

Rapport Gifts

Do not give Rapport Gifts randomly.

Please forgive the enormous text above. It is the most important thing to know about Rapport Items. The amount of time and resources required to complete Rapport Levels is staggering. It may be one of, if not THE most daunting tasks to complete. Save all of your Rapport Gifts until you know which NPCs you want to focus on. To complete the Adventure Tome in a region you will need to get 100% Rapport with every single NPC in that region.

Rapport Gifts are the largest source of gaining Rapport with an NPC. You can give any gift to any Rapport NPC to increase their Rapport Level. However, each NPC has a few preferred gifts that give more Rapport per gift given. Preferred gifts are identified in the tooltip of the Rapport Item itself.

These gifts can give a range of Rapport from 324 to 450 Rapport per gift given. There is a list in the Details section in the Rapport Menu <ALT+N> and when you are interacting with them in the Give Gift menu.

Where to get Rapport Gifts.

Rapport Gifts are found in various places throughout the game. They can be obtained from various quests, found within Rapport Chests, and by purchasing them with Providence Stones.

Rapport Chests

There are many different types of Rapport Chests. They are given as a reward from a number of tasks including various side Quests, Special Events, the Tower Event, Daily Login Rewards, Roster Level Rewards, purchased with Pirate Coins, etc.

You can also Purchase Rapport Chests with Providence Stones. These chests contain a limited selection of Gifts, but those gifts can be for a NPC not found within the region it was purchased from. The name of the chest tells you which region it was purchased from.

Providence Stones

Providence Stones are rewarded from completing Una Tasks, Stronghold missions, Procyons Eye Events, some quests, and by killing some rare enemies. Providence Stones are exchanged for Chests that contain Rapport Gifts.

Rapport Vendors give unique Chests depending on where they are located. Those unique Chests have different gifts in them.

Rapport Songs

Playing an instrument is an action that increases the Rapport Level with an NPC. You need to interact with the NPC and select from a list of songs to play that they would like to hear. These are the same songs found in the Sheet Music Menu <F2>. The amount of Rapport gained per Song is different depending on the NPC it is played for. Five (5) Songs can be completed per day on a single Roster. The daily reset for Songs is at 5 am Server Time.

Rapport Emotes

Rapport Emotes are actions that increase the Rapport Level with an NPC. Five (5) Emotes can be completed per day on a single Roster. Emotes reset at 5 am Server Time. These are the same /emote actions that you can obtain from various tasks within the game. The amount of Rapport gained per emote is the same across all NPCs.

Rapport Dialogue

Rapport Dialogue is typically the first thing that is unlocked when you are finally able to interact with a NPC that you can gain Rapport with. This is a short text chat that doesn’t take a long time to complete, but usually gets past the first Level of Rapport.

Rapport Quests

Rapport Quests are typically simple task that provide decent amount of Rapport. Look for the Pink ! on your map and in the Dialogue window when interacting with the NPC.

Best Rapport NPCs

The best Rapport NPCs will depend on what your goals are. Keeping in mind the daily limit of 5 songs and emotes players should focus on only a few NPC’s at a time.
