A big focus on Japanese publishers

Sony has announced that the next State of Play broadcast will be taking place today, March 9th, at 2PM PT/5PM ET/10PM GMT/11PM CET.

However, if you were hoping to get a first look at some PSVR 2 games and maybe even the headset itself being used, dash those dreams a while longer.

The official announcement over on the PlayStation Blog states that there will be no update on PSVR 2 at this time. Instead, today’s State of Play will run for around 20 minutes to show off upcoming PS4 and PS5 releases, with a big focus on Japanese publishers, so expect the likes of Square Enix to make an appearance.

You can watch the latest State of Play live on Twitch or on YouTube. If you’re in the UK or Europe and can’t do the late-night show, you’ll be able to catch up the next day with the show being made available as a video-on-demand, both on Twitch and YouTube.
