Ready, steady, Gran Turismo!
It’s a fresh week and while the world is surely going down the toilet, we should all be lucky if our end of days could wait until at least after the weekend. Why? Because there are new games this week, and we all want to play them from our living rooms and not our underground bunkers, don’t we?
What’s new on PlayStation this week, then? What new PS4 games are out? What new PS5 games are releasing? What will you be throwing your money at this week?
The big one for many a racing fan will of course be Gran Turismo 7, releasing this coming Friday. It’s sure to be a hit with fans of Polyphony Digital’s sim series, and there’s no reason to suspect it’ll be anything other than top-notch. If sim racing isn’t your bag, there’s last week’s GRID Legends, which is pretty good according to our review.
If you want the thrills to be accompanied by the kills, Shadow Warrior 3 finally slices and dices its way to a release on March 1st – that’s tomorrow if you’re reading this today. But if you’re reading this tomorrow, it’s today. If you’re reading this in a week then it’s – never mind. March 1st. Shadow Warrior 3. Just put the date in your diary.
Platinum Games has a new release this week, too, with Babylon’s Fall. Remember, there was a demo last week and if it did its job and hooked you by your cute little cheeks, your demo progress and trophies carry over to the full release.
Personally, I’m all about 35MM – an atmospheric tale of two geezers mooching around post-apocalyptic Russia. OK, given the state of the world, it’s perhaps coming at a bad time, but it’s not a bad game, especially if you enjoyed solo developer Sergey Noskov’s In Rays of the Light.
