New information regarding New Super Mario Bros. Wii coming to the Wii U has surfaced via the Wii U’s very own eShop. The following screenshot also confirms that the UK release date will be January 7th, 2016. However, we have no information regarding the release date for other regions.
The game weighs in at just under 650MB and features controller support for either:
- Wii Remote
- Wii Remote + Nunchuck
A listing on the ESRB website indicates that Super Mario Galaxy has also been spotted and may be making its way onto the Wii U as well.
Nintendo’s last Virtual Console Wii title, for the eShop was Capcom’s ‘Zack & Wiki’. A true gem of the Wii’s library that no Nintendo fan should miss.
