The Far Cry series has taken players to some of the most exotic and exciting places, all of which have been more than aesthetically pleasing. The latest installment, Far Cry 4 is no different, but what about future entries?
According to an interview with Ryan Boyer of Ubisoft, the team are always on the lookout for new locations for Far Cry games and aren’t eliminating anything from the realms of possibility.
When asked about South Africa as a future location for the series, Boyer stated that “we’re not gonna shut the door on anything” and that “we’ve hit the mark on every single Far Cry that’s come out.” Could we possibly see a return to the continent of Africa in future games? It’d be an interesting choice for Ubisoft, especially given the sensitive nature of such a location. Then again, Ubisoft aren’t known for shying away from sensitive topics within their games.
Ubisoft, please, for the love of god, don’t give the player Malaria again. That wasn’t fun. Not at all.
Far Cry 4 is out from November 18th on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. You can pre-order your copy from Amazon and get some exclusive DLC and a potential £10 off your purchase. Win!
