Classic Playstation 2 title, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be made available to purchase and download from the Playstation Store sometime next week, depending on where you live.
Not a HD upgrade, but rather a part of the Playstation 2 Classics collection, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be providing the kills and thrills from January 29th in North America and a day later, January 30th for Europe.
The price? Not as scandalous as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which is only a good thing. Vice City will set you back $9.99 or £9.99, again, depending on where you reside.
Rockstar also teased that more titles from the Playstation 2 era would be making their way onto PSN in the coming months;
“Stay tuned for more classic Rockstar titles coming for download to PSN in the weeks and months ahead,” stated Rockstar.
More cheap games? Nobody can knock them for that, and only last month a whole bunch of Rockstar developed PS2 games received ratings from the U.S ratings board, so expect the likes of Bully, Midnight Club, Midnight Club 2, Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix and Red Dead Revolver to be made available in the near future.
It’s a shame that no HD release of Vice City is on the horizon, but no doubt it would have cost more to purchase, so keeping the cost low for the consumer is a good choice by Rockstar, one of the few publishers who seem to give a damn about their customers.
