Killzone: Mercenary is set to be the first proper first-person shooter to grace the PS Vita and its beautiful screen, because there’s no way we’re counting Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified or Resistance: Burning Skies, although Resistance wasn’t as bad as the previously mentioned Call of Duty title.
So, set your greedy eyes upon the latest developer diary from the minds behind Killzone: Mercenary, showing off some new in-game footage and a bit of new information, thanks to creative director Tom Jones (not the Welsh singer.)

As you can see, it’s definitely looked like the best first-person shooter yet for the PS Vita, in fact, Tom Jones says that the studio is pushing the bar and actually aiming to put Killzone: Mercenary at the top of the pile when it comes to graphical fidelity, let’s hope they manage to achieve their goals!
Killzone: Mercenary is due to release later this year, September 17th in fact, the same day the Grand Theft Auto V release.
Killzone Mercenary is a PS Vita exclusive, so if you want to play it, you’re just going to have to get yourself a PS Vita, and with the amount of deals on brand new and pre-owned consoles, you shouldn’t find yourself that much out-of-pocket.
