European PlayStation users are currently able to get their hands on the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Minecraft for the grand cost of…nothing!
However, it’s not an intentional giveaway by Sony, it seems to be a glitch within the online store. The glitch happens when you go to the PlayStation online store via a web browser and select the free demo and then continue to add the complete version to your cart, resulting in the full version going through as a sale when no money has changed hands.
I don’t think Sony will be best pleased to find people doing this, so do so at your own risk otherwise you may find your account suspended.
Microsoft recently purchased the studio behind Minecraft for a reported $2.5 billion dollars. It’s safe to say that the folks over at Microsoft HQ would not be all too happy with Sony giving away their most valuable product for nothing.
