News: New Killzone: Mercenary Brings The Pain

killzone-mercenary-ps-vitaA brand new trailer for the upcoming PS Vita shooter Killzone: Mercenary has been released, and it’s looking fantastic.

The trailer shows off some of the fancy visuals that players will be treated to, as well as some in-game action that’s not afraid to take a knife to the crotch and sever the manhood from the Helghast menace.

It’s all looking good and September cannot come soon enough, though the frame-rate is looking a little shakey in places. Whether this is due to the actual recording of the game or not remains to be seen, though the developers behind Killzone: Mercenary did say a while back that a solid 30 frames-per-second is what they were looking to achieve. Hopefully they’ve managed to hit the right notes.

Killzone: Mercenary is set to release this September 17th exclusively for the PlayStation Vita. Coincidentally, Rockstar’s powerhouse franchise moves forward with Grand Theft Auto V on the exact same date. Two titles that will be begging for your money, never a pretty sight…

  1. If ever there was a reason to push a date up or further out, it’s this ‘releasing on the same day as GTA’ thing. Just… I mean… really? You’re sending it out to DIE Sony! And then you’ll be pissed off that it didn’t sell. LOOK AT WHAT YOU PUT IT UP AGAINST! You knew GTA was coming out on this day for a while now. Push it back 1 week! Preferably, push it up 1 week! BUT DO SOMETHING! I’m still going to get it. Though, future forecast of my finances seem to point to a Christmas gift than a ‘because it just released’ impulse buy.
