News: Rainbow Six Siege To “Revisit The Roots”, Will Play At 60 FPS On PS4 & Xbox One

Rainbow Six Siege was first shown off at E3, but since then we’ve not heard much about the game, other than it’s coming out next year on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

However, now we know a little bit more about the game, with thanks to the twitter postings made by team behind the upcoming next-gen shooter.

According to the official Rainbow Six Siege Community Team Twitter account, one of the main priorities for the upcoming tactical-shooter is to take the game back to its roots.

Not only that, but much to the satisfaction of those who care about frames-per-second in their games, Rainbow Six Siege will run at a pleasant 60 fps on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, something that most fans of first-person shooters will be more than happy to hear as it means ultra smooth gameplay.

Rainbow Six Siege is seen as the phoenix rising from the ashes of the ill fated Rainbow Six: Patriots which was cancelled some way into development. Rainbow Six Siege is set to release next year on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, though a specific release window hasn’t been given at this time.

The first gameplay video has been embedded down below for your viewing pleasure..

  1. I’m personally a massive fan of the Rainbow Six Series. I’ve been playing them since the Original Xbox days.

When I seen Siege at E3 I instantly felt joy for the franchise. I always loved their attention to detail and the fact they were not fast paced games, you had to be careful and work with your team to complete missions.

My only hope is that the game will sell well. As it’s radially different to Battlefield and Call of Duty, I’m just not sure if it’ll sell as well as most of us want it too.

      you’re a noob compared to me 😛
i hope they will bring back R6(1998) , R6RogueSpear and Raven Shield gameplay and not the watered down for non gamers game

  2. excited for this , seem a move in right direction and 60fps also means they are serious about gameplay. we need a tactical shooter especially on console but PC as well as CS is only good tactical fps out there.. i love r6 , one of best games ever that got butchered with last few entries but this one sound promising and looks like what real r6 should be
