Good news Vita fans, there’s more Rayman in the works for your nifty handheld.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Rayman Legends will be coming to the PS Vita on the very same day that it launches for all other platforms, so a simultaneous release if you will.
Rayman Legends was previously a Wii U exclusive and was set to release earlier this year, but Ubisoft decided to make it a multi-platform title, presumably to make more money. Can’t blame them really, they are a business, but many Wii U owners were outraged that not only was Rayman Legends no longer a Wii U exclusive, but was also being pushed back to accommodate a release on all platforms.
I feel for the Wii U crowd, but at the same time I’m secretly (well, not so much now) delighted that Rayman Legends will be coming to the Vita. Rayman Origins was great fun and looked fantastic on the PS Vita, so we’re expecting nothing short of excellence for the PS Vita version of Rayman Legends.
Rayman Legends will release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and the PS Vita on August 30th for us folk in Europe, whilst North American fans of the limbless wonder will be left hanging on until September 3rd.
