We previously reported on Sony Bend’s upcoming project where we stated that we’re not even sure as to which platform the first-party studio is developing for. Now it seems we have an answer: the PS Vita.
Another posting on the official PlayStation careers website seemingly reveals that Sony Bend is indeed working another game for the PS Vita, possibly following up on the success of Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
The posting reads:
“Bend Studio the creators of Sony’s flagship Vita title Uncharted Golden Abyss is currently looking for the entertainment industries top Artistic talent to help us create AAA content for Sony’s powerful new hardware. We just scratched the surface on what the Vita can do with Uncharted Golden Abyss and expect to push the platform even further with our future projects. Candidates must be passionate about their work and thrive in small-team environments where everyone inspires and pushes everyone else to create great games.”
The job posting goes on with:
“The Bend Studio is looking for a Senior Staff Character Shader Texture Artist to contribute to the artistic vision and development of AAA products with a specialized focus on creating character texture maps and shaders utilizing a combination of traditional fine art and technical art skills.”
Judging by what’s said in the posting, it certainly looks like Sony Bend are developing for the PS Vita, but whether it’s another Uncharted game remains to be seen.
