Super Stardust Ultra was announced for the PS4 late last year on the PlayStation Blog, but since then we’ve had no word on a release date.
We were told that Super Stardust Ultra will be releasing “early 2015” for the PS4, but a recent rating by the Australian ratings board for movies and video games suggests Super Stardust Ultra may be coming to other platforms in addition to the PS4.
Also, games are usually released soon after receiving a rating so it’s a safe bet that we’ll see Super Stardust Ultra release sometime in the next few weeks.
Whether it’ll actually jump to other platforms remains to be seen as it’s entirely possible that the Australian ratings board has made a mistake.
Super Stardust Ultra will feature some new additions to shake up the tried and tested formula, including two-to-four player co-op and competitive game modes as well as split-screen gameplay. Yay for couch co-op!
