Hideo Kojima’s Amazon delivery simulator (obviously, I haven’t played it and have only seen the memes…) is getting a sequel, though the announcement isn’t coming with the usual bells, whistles, and weird trailers.
Instead, Death Stranding 2, or possibly Death Stranding Part 2, has been revealed by actor Norman Reedus, the face and star of the original Death Stranding.
The revelation comes via a recent interview the actor did with Leo Edit, where the zombie-slayer/package deliverer was asked about his recent and upcoming projects.
Leo Edit: Okay, so you got the book going on, you’ve got the final season coming out, then the spinoff, and you’re filming Death Stranding, the video game.
Norman Reedus: We just started the second one.

When asked how the Death Stranding job came about, Reedus explained how Guillermo del Toro basically bullied him into the job before ending the question with a pretty concrete confirmation that Hideo Kojima is already working on the next chapter with the development team and actors.
“It took me maybe two or three years to finish all the MoCap sessions and everything. It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out, and it just won all these awards, and it was a huge thing, so we just started part two of that.”
Part two? Unless we’re getting a DLC expansion, it sounds like Death Stranding 2 is en-route to players, though it might take a while. Let’s hope it doesn’t get lost in the mail…
