Here’s everything you need to know if you’re wondering how to evolve Primeape into Annihilape in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The classic Gen 1 Pokemon has a new evolution in these games, and it’s definitely worth seeking out.
Primeape is one of those Pokemon which has been somewhat forgotten by a lot of players, never getting any time in the spotlight. But now, with its new evolution, Primeape is back on a lot of people’s radars.
So let’s find out how to evolve Primeape in Scarlet and Violet!
How To Evolve Primeape: Where To Find It
First off, you’re gonna want to get your hands on a Mankey or Primeape.
To find Mankey, you should look around the West Province below the Asado Desert. They’re a common sight and shouldn’t take you long to find if you follow the path.
If you want to skip Mankey and go straight to Primeape, you can find them in West Province Area Three around Medali. You can also find them near the top of the North Province/Bamboo Forest where the Team Star fight is.
How To Evolve Primeape: Using Rage Fist
To evolve Primeape into Annihilape, you need to teach it Rage Fist and use the move 20 times. Primeape will learn Rage Fist at level 35. Once you’ve used the move 20 times you just need to level it up one more time.
The easiest way to do this is by finding a Normal type Pokemon and using the move against it. You can just travel to an early area and find a low-level Normal-type Pokemon like Lechonk or Azurill to spam Rage Fist on, as the Ghost-type move won’t damage them.
When you’ve used Rage Fist 20 times, just level up Primeape and you should get Annihilape. This evolution is a pretty awesome Ghost/Fighting-type that should really help you out in the game’s tougher fights or raids.
