They may be coming in a couple of weeks after release, but the Pokemon Scalet and Violet patch notes 1.1.0 are finally here. It’s no secret that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched in a less-than-ideal state. From multiple bugs to frame rate issues, it’s been a bit of a disappointment since its release and fans aren’t happy. Along with that, any word from Nintendo or the developer Game Freak has been a no-show – until now.

A new patch for both games has now been released, with an apology from Nintendo regarding their launch state. It features numerous fixes and changes to the game that many will appreciate. If you’ve run into issues such as the game crashing, frame drops, or even one of the many annoying bugs that have been trending online, Patch 1.1.0 aims to be the first of many to improve the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet experience.

Here’s everything that’s been implemented into Patch 1.1.0 for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

  • Following the start of Ranked Battles season 1, you can now enjoy Ranked Battles from the Battle Stadium.
    • Please check the in-game notice for more details about Ranked Battles Season 1.
  • An issue has been fixed that caused the music to not play correctly during the battles with the Elite Four and the Top Champion in the Victory Road path.
  • Various other issues have also been fixed.

Additionally, Nintendo has also issued a statement alongside the patch, which details their plans for upcoming updates, along with an apology:

“We are thankful that Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are being played by so many consumers, but we are also aware that players may encounter issues that affect the games’ performance. Our goal is always to give players a positive experience with our games, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take the feedback from players seriously, and are working on improvements to the games.”
