Pikachu is arguably the most recognizable Pokemon in the world, so it makes sense that this mouse is in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Its baby form Pichu is also included in the latest game. Here’s where to find these cherished electrical creatures in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Where To Find Pichu And Pikachu In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet
These two adorable Pokemon Pichu and Pikachu can be found during the early stages of the game around the town of Cortondo. Go west of the main hub academy town Mesagoza, and you’ll find the farming area of Cortondo. As the picture above explains, they are rarely seen, but both species can be found near trees. We found multiple Pichu and Pikachu wandering around Cortondo on our first visit, but the second trip wasn’t as successful. They also seem to appear during the day, not at night.
The best way to catch Pichu or Pikachu is to get a Pokemon in your party that can make them go to sleep. Use a move like Hypnosis to put them into a slumber and then catch them. Their level is relatively low, however, so if you’re trying to get these two Pokemon at a later stage, it may be easier for you in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Once you get either Pokemon, you may want to duplicate them through a glitch.

How To Evolve Pichu and Pikachu
You may want to evolve these cherished Pokemon as you progress through Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. If so, here’s how to do that. First, Pichu can be evolved by increasing its friendship level; you can do this by keeping them in your party and giving them food. Just make sure you don’t let it faint in a battle as that will decrease its friendship level with you. Also, be warned that it’s exceptionally hard to take a picture of Pichu or Pikachu while they’re running around.
Levelling up Pikachu into Raichu is a somewhat simpler matter. As you explore the region of Paldea in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll want to find a Thunder Stone. After getting one, give it to Pikachu and it will evolve into Raichu, something that Ash Ketchum from the anime will never do. Thankfully, you don’t have to trade the Pokemon to make it evolve like Haunter into Gengar.
