Titan Pokemon are a key part of the Path of Legends storyline in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
These gigantic Pokemon are basically the illegitimate children of Dynamax Pokemon from Sword and Shield and Totem Pokemon from Sun and Moon. Defeating them will let you pick up the Herba Mystica, which Arven can make into sandwiches.
These sandwiches will power up Koraidon or Miraidon (depending on the version of the game you’re playing), allowing you to swim, dash, double jump, fly and climb throughout the open world of Paldea.
This guide will walk you through what the Titan Pokemon are, how to defeat them, and the best order to tackle them in.
- This is what auto-battling is in Scarlet and Violet
What Are Titan Pokemon?
There are five Titans you must defeat, all with different strengths and weaknesses. We recommend the following order:
- Stony Cliff Titan (Klawf)
- Open Sky Titan (Bombirdier)
- Lurking Steel Titan (Orthworm)
- The Quaking Earth Titan (Great Tusk for Scarlet/Iron Treads for Violet)
- The False Dragon Titan (Dondozo and Tatsugiri)
These are brand new Pokemon, introduced in Scarlet and Violet. Usually, they’re not this big though!
These Titan Pokemon are powered up and grow bigger thanks to the ‘delicious’ Herba Mystica that is native to the Paldea region.
Luckily, Arven is here to give you a hand in taking them down!

How To Defeat The Titan Pokemon
You’ll have to fight each Titan Pokemon twice before you can catch them.
The first stage of the fight is a simple Pokemon battle, 1v1.
The second stage of the fight is done with Arven, apparently. However, in every Titan Pokemon battle I’ve done, he’s been more than useless.
Once you defeat all five Titan Pokemon and collect the Herba Mystica, you need to head back to the lighthouse when you kicked Arven’s butt the first time you met. He’ll demand a rematch, which you should aim to be about level 60 for.
