Amazon France is known for being a serial leaker of gaming related stuffs, such as release dates and unannounced games. It’s also known to be very unreliable, at least from our prior experiences with the French arm of the Amazon empire.
However, we’re obliged to type this story. Amazon France has updated its listing page for Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC to reflect a release date of January 29th – that’s a Friday. Normally, big-name releases hit store shelves on a Tuesday, though we have seen a few games here and there break the status quo.
So what does it mean? Well, you might be playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC this coming January 29th, or you might not. We can’t be sure, especially when it comes to Amazon France, though we’re not throwing this one completely out. For the time being, this one’s staying as a rumour, at least until Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics come forward with something official.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is out now on Xbox One and Xbox 360, with the PC release slated for early 2016, and the PS4 release due later on in the year.
