We all know that Mirror’s Edge 2 is on the horizon, it was revealed back in 2013 that DICE are working on the long-awaited follow-up for the PS4 and Xbox One.
Ever since the announcement we’ve heard hide-nor-hair from DICE regarding the Mirror’s Edge sequel – we don’t even know if the voice actors from the original will be reprising their roles.
Or do we?
Phillipa Alexander, the lady who lent her larynx to the character of Kate Connors, twin sister of the main character Faith Conners, has possibly let something slip on her LinkedIn profile page.
Listing her recent projects on her profile the UK-based voice actress mentions Mirror’s Edge as one of her recent projects. Though she doesn’t state Mirror’s Edge 2, she does state that it’s for the ‘Xbox/PS4.’
It’s also worth noting that Mirror’s Edge 2 probably isn’t going to be donning a number on the end of the title as it’s actually a prequel set before the events of Mirror’s Edge, so it’s likely that it’ll get a subtitle of sorts. Or it could just release as Mirror’s Edge, just to confuse people. We consumers love nothing more than to be confused, it makes it easier to open our wallets.
It’s possible that Phillipa Alexander has just made a little error on her profile and named the PS4 instead of the PS3. Then again, it’s also possible that the real mistake is that she didn’t include the subtitle for the upcoming game, if it has one that is.
We’ve sent the lovely lady a polite email to see if she’ll open up to us, but chances are that she’s signed a non-disclosure agreement of sorts (if she is on board to voice her character once more,) so don’t hold your breath on that one.
Mirror’s Edge for the PS4, Xbox One and PC is supposedly set to release sometime in 2016, but if you’re a die-hard fan you can pre-order the title from Amazon and sleep soundly knowing that your copy is safe as houses.
