Oh dear. Nathan Drake’s outing in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End may just be the last adventure we take with the loveable rogue, at least if the damning words of one of the developers of the upcoming PS4 exclusive are anything to go by.
Earlier today GameInformer revealed that the February issue of their ever popular magazine will feature Uncharted 4, along with some new info in the magazine itself.
However, a coverage trailer for the upcoming magazine (yes, magazines get trailers these days!) one of the developers hints that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End may be the last installment in the Sony-exclusive franchise.
Speaking of the trials and tribulations of making the game, especially after having released three already, the developer (whose voice I cannot attach a name to) states the following.
“Trying to take everything Nathan Drake has done, who he is and trying to find closure for that story is really challenging.”
Does it mean that Uncharted 4 will be the last one? It’s not conclusive but my stomach did a lurch when I heard those words spoken.
Still, all good things must come to an end. Too much of a good thing, as the saying goes…
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to release sometime later on this year. You can pre-order your copy from Amazon UK.
