Sherlock Holmes The Devil’s Daughter has launched on Nintendo Switch today. The adventure mystery game follows Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective as something dark and sinister grips London and also has close ties to Sherlock’s own personal life. A new trailer featuring gameplay from the Switch version has also been released and can be viewed below.
The digital-only release originally debuted in 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and is not to be confused with the recently released Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, which was also produced by Frogwares.
The Switch version of Sherlock Holmes The Devil’s Daughter is now available for $29.99/29.99 EUR but is subject to a 15% off discount during the launch period. For an added discount, players that own either of Frogware’s other titles on Switch; The Sinking City or Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments will receive an additional 10% off.
Wael Amr, CEO of Frogwares, the Ukrainian developer and publisher behind Sherlock Holmes The Devil’s Daughter shared a few words about the game’s release during the ongoing war in Ukraine.
“Words can’t really capture how proud and humbled I am by this team. To be able to launch any game is always an endeavour of some sort. To do so while a war rages in your country is almost unfathomable. But I guess that is that part of the Ukrainian spirit the world has seen so much of in these last few weeks. Stubborn, proud, and an unwillingness to look at the odds and giving up.”
