Not too long ago we posted something a little different than what we normally write about. Instead of providing news on a new game or something similar, we posted about things happening on The Games Cabin. It’s a great way for our readers to stay informed with what’s going on. Nice, isn’t it?
We’re still in the process of making the site an A-1 experience, but we’re getting there, even if it is taking longer than we’d like. Some progress is being made, though; just take a look up at the top of the site and you’ll find our new logo. Yes, it’s a little crude but that’s sort of the point. We’re not a massive corporation that can throw millions at web design; we’re a small unit and things have to be done on a budget. Thank Batman that Microsoft Paint is still free…
You’ll notice the little dude playing Bethesda’s hotly anticipated Fallout 4 on the TV. It’s a nice touch and it’s something that we think gives the site a bit of flavour. Every week we’ll change what the Cabin Boy (potential mascot?) is playing to reflect what’s hot in the eyes of the gaming public, and sometimes it’ll just be a personal choice from one of the staff. Maybe even one of you lot could choose? We’ll see…
One thing that we should stress is that it’s purely for fun. There’s no cash being handed under the table by any company for a spot on the top.
The site is still going through some changes, so expect things to be a bit rickety for the next couple of weeks, but also expect more of the same great news content, features, and reviews. Even if the wallpaper is being stripped from the ol’ mothership, the show must go on.
