Although the official Splatoon 3 release date won’t roll around until September 9, players were able to try out the game for free during the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere. This demo ran for 12 hours in various regions and allowed players to pick a team and participate in online battles to earn points for their teams.

In previous Splatoon games, players could only choose between two teams. But, with the addition of the Deep Cut news trio, Shiver, Frye, and Big Man, players now get to choose among three teams in Splatoon 3 Splatfests.

For the World Premiere demo, players got to choose their go-to option in the classic game of rock-paper-scissors. Shiver represented Team Rock, Frye represented Team Paper, and Big Man represented Team Scissors.

In addition, Splatoon 3 is introducing a new battle mode exclusive to Splatfests called Tricolor Turf Wars. These special battles can start to pop up midway through a Splatfest. Instead of pitting four members from two teams against each other, a Tricolor Turf War pits four members of the currently-leading team against two members each from the other two teams.

Although Team Scissors held the lead at the halfway point, the Splatoon 3 Splatfest results did not actually turn out in their favor. The Tricolor Turf Wars seemed to turn the tide in a major way, as Team Scissors actually ended up in last place.

Instead, the victory went to Shiver and Team Rock. Team Rock finished with a total of 25 points. Team Paper came in second with 10 points, while Team Scissors ended up finishing without any points at all. That’s everything there is to know about the Splatoon 3 Splatfest results from the World Premiere demo.
