More info coming this summer

Capcom has officially announced Street Fighter 6, putting an end to the onslaught of internet rumours. The announcement came in the form of a teaser trailer showing a bearded Ryu who looks like he has gone through the mill and taken his frustration out at the gym, and Luke, the final character added to Street Fighter V, who also looks like he has been putting in the hours lifting.

And that’s all we know. The trailer is all that Capcom has delivered. The announcement didn’t even state which platforms the fighter will be releasing on, though the presser does state that “more details will be shared this summer.”

There is a little more Street Fighter goodness coming, though. Before Street Fighter 6 breaks gamepads and friendships all over the world, the Capcom Fighting Collection will be releasing this June 24th for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. There’s also the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, which can be bought bundled with the aforementioned anthology as the Capcom Fighting Bundle, which will be available on PC and consoles.
